I am married Rory for 28 years and we are parents to three daughters. We enjoy our family times together with our loving extended family and our church family at Grace Vineyard Church in Christchurch. I love exercise, music, plants and my family.

I have been involved in mission in Uganda since 2010 and have spent great times there working with our partners on the ground to extend the Kingdom. I am also involved in community development in New Zealand within the disability community.

My background is in education, training and ministry and I am delighted to be the Principal of Vineyard College. Leading a College is not something that is new to me but I am looking forward to the new things that the next season holds for the church, as we raise up the next generation of leaders.

    Tena koutou katoa

I’m married to Sarah who is the source of my best ideas and sharpener of my best qualities. We have two young chiIdren - Francis and Therese - who keep us young at heart. When I’m not thinking about the church and theology, I’m reading Kim Stanley Robinson or Wendell Berry, listening to Bob Dylan, pulling weeds in the garden, and dreaming about hiking with friends.

My main roles at Vineyard College are guiding students through their course materials, facilitating weekly online classes, and overseeing teaching.

It is a privilege to support people on their journey of discovering more of God and his kingdom in deeper and more beautiful and surprising ways. The College’s emphasis on developing reflective practitioners meshes with my belief that the best learning happens through taking small risks in the real world; churches make for great learning environments in that respect.

Nō reira, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou katoa

I moved up to Auckland in 2020 from Ōtaki. While I am enjoying my time in the “big smoke”, I believe I am still a country girl at heart. I love walking on the beach or forest or sitting near a body of water, rain or shine.

As the Office & Student Manager, I oversee the overall management of the day-to-day running of the College, which includes coordination of the student journey from enquiry through to graduation.

I love how the College exists to help nurture, develop and strengthen each person in their faith and character of who God has called them to be. Personally, one of my favourite things throughout the year is the one-on-one conversations I get to have with our students. Having the privilege to journey alongside them, I see their strength and commitment in difficult times but also their growth and joy in their triumphs.
